Is my video uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. Your video is processed locally in your browser using WebAssembly-based FFMPEG (WASM FFMPEG). It never leaves your device, so your privacy is protected.

How do I convert or edit a video?

  1. Click "Choose File" or drag & drop your video onto the page.
  2. Select one of the presets (no extra manual settings needed).
  3. Wait for the browser-based tool to process your file.
  4. Download your converted or edited video immediately (usually in MP4 format or GIF if you chose a GIF preset).

Why are there only preset options and no custom settings?

Each preset is configured with specific parameters (e.g., compression level, special effects). The tool is intentionally designed this way to streamline the process—just pick a preset best suited to your need, and everything else is handled automatically.

What format does the tool produce?

The tool outputs your final video in either MP4 or GIF, depending on the preset selected. All non-GIF presets export as MP4, while GIF-related presets export as GIF.

Are input formats other than MP4 supported?

FFMPEG supports a wide range of video formats (MOV, MKV, AVI, WEBM, etc.). In most cases, any common format can be processed without issue, but the final output will still be MP4 or GIF.

Is there a file size or length limit?

There's no strict server-side limit because no files are uploaded; however, performance depends on your device's CPU and memory. Very large files may take longer to process.

Will my video lose quality?

Some presets (like strong compression) reduce file size, which can lower quality slightly. Others focus on resolution or add creative effects. Choose a preset that best matches your preference for quality, size, or style.

Can I remove audio or silent parts?

Yes. Use a preset like "Edit: Audio removed" or "Edit: Remove silent parts in the video." The silent-parts preset runs multiple processing passes, so it can be slower but effectively trims out silent sections automatically.

Do you offer creative effects and meme presets?

Definitely. Options like "Effect: Psychedelic echo," "Memes: Floating Camera Pan," "Effect: Retro Film," and many more are available to style your video in unique ways. They will be exported as MP4 unless specifically stated otherwise (e.g., GIF presets).

How do I adjust my video for social media platforms?

Choose from presets like "Edit: Force 16:9 with Black Bars" or "Edit: Force 9:16 with Black Bars" to ensure your video displays correctly on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.

What about frame rate or resolution changes?

Look for presets like "Convert video to 60 fps," "Edit: Resize video to 1080p," or "Edit: Resize video to 4K." These adjustments are automatic with no additional manual settings required.

Is the tool free to use?

Yes, it's completely free, with no hidden fees, watermarks, or required registrations.

Is any user data retained?

No, because no files or personal data ever leave your browser. The process is fully local.

Why can conversions sometimes be slow?

All processing relies on your computer's resources. Complex presets or large video files can take more time, especially with multiple processing passes.
